The TR version with EXO sidewall protection is designed for driving without tube with sealing milk, but can also be driven with tube like all TR tyres. Maxxis recommends the Rekon primarily on the rear wheel, which can best be combined with a Forekaster at the front, but also with coarser treads.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: you can drive with less air pressure. This results in better traction and the rolling resistance decreases. And where there is no hose, the risk of a breakdown also falls. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other “Tubeless Ready” tires. The bead of our TR tires is like a real UST tubeless tire completely covered with a rubber layer. As a result, the hose-free mounting of all rims with standard dimensions is successful on the first inflation and with little fluid.
EXO Protection+
EXO Protection: Maxxis’ new EXO construction combines two of the best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO.
The SilkShield layer surrounds the entire tyre from bead to bead, the EXO layer is mounted on the side walls. Together the EXO+ has the following advantages:
27 % better puncture protection on the running surface
51 % more stable side wall
28 % more breakdown protection
3C MaxxTerra
The right mix for our 3C Enduro and Freeride tire. Smooth uphill and downhill best adhesion characterize this mixture just like a long life.

All orders will be delivered within 48-72 hours. You will be notified once the parcel has been packed and shipped.
For orders placed on Public holidays or during the Christmas season, delivery times may vary.
Requests for returns must be logged within 30 days of the purchase date.
Item/s must be in a re-sellable condition.
Please request a return by contacting us with your order number, the details of the item/s in question, and an explanation of why you would like to return the item/s. We will get in touch and confirm the details.
Return requests will be approved at the discretion of The Bicycle Service Company (BSC).
Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.
Except in the case of a defect, we will not accept returns of item/s that have been used after 30 days. See Warranty info.
Please ensure that the item/s are in the packaging you received them in and include the original order invoice. A separate box must be used to ship shoes/trainers back with the original box inside.
