The Colnago C60 and V1-R framesets are works of serious craftsmanship, commitment to performance, and constructed to exacting standards. This is despite the fact the two frames are made with two totally different methods. Yet each represents the pinnacle of Colnago frame design. Every detail, even down to the headset, was engineered for greatness, whether under the 135lb body of a European pro cyclist or a 200lb American cycling enthusiast out for a 60 mile Saturday morning group ride. Colnago worked with German component maker Acros, known for their innovative and beautifully made designs. The Composite Headset Acros developed for Colnago features a sleek full carbon top cap, precision 90° sealed steel cartridge bearings, and CNC’d aluminum frame cups developed specially for the tapered headtube of both the C60 and V1-R framesets.

These Colnago-badged headsets offer the choice of a short or tall carbon top cap. The pro’s generally opt for the nearly flush low version, while mere mortals will generally opt for the taller version. Both are stunning and the carbon has sculpted to fit over the bearing design perfectly. This Acros headset employs a fitment that is glued within the steerer tube, not a compression system. The top cap is tightened directly into the insertion, for a slip-free, incredibly secure fit. The bearings are pre-pressed into the cups, which are pressed into the frame for a zero-creak experience. Colnago and Acros spec’ed a 90 degree sealed cartridge bearing that offers more surface contact, creating a smooth linear steering path. The steerer tube and stout head tube feel as one, for a solid handling experience that allows the rider to corner with exceptional confidence.

Precision, confidence, solid feeling. These are all descriptors that must be associated with a wholly integrated headset, frame and steerer design. You aren’t just going to slap in any headset into your C60 or V1-R, no matter how great the aftermarket products may be, but a headset that with specifications that came directly from Colnago to fully blend the frame fork together to match the special qualities of these to magnificent frame designs.

Requests for returns must be logged within 30 days of the purchase date.

Return requests will be approved at the discretion of The Bicycle Service Company (BSC).

Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.

Except in the case of a defect, we will not accept returns of item/s that have been used after 30 days. See Warranty info.

Please ensure that the item/s are in the packaging you received them in and include the original order invoice. A separate box must be used to ship shoes/trainers back with the original box inside.
